ABOUT ME
Rex (Yu Kit) Tse, MA, LPC

I understand that relational struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming, like life and death, leaving you exhausted and demoralized.
My understanding of relational pain is both personal and professional. As a child, I experienced violence in the house. Growing up in a volatile and highly critical family, I became deeply familiar with the feeling of unloved, unwanted, and ashamed. If you are feeling disconnected from the world, numb, and your emotions are often shut down, you deserve to be seen and find safety.
I also understand the feeling of being stuck in repeating patterns, such as attracting the wrong people or relying on unhealthy ways to cope. Therefore, I firmly believe in a healing approach that requires kindness and empathy for all parts of ourselves. Feedback in therapy should not shame or criticize, but instead support growth and lasting changes.
If you identified with any of my experiences, you are not alone. I am here to offer both my understanding and my clinical expertise to support you in healing from the past and stepping more confidently into the future.
Rex’s Clinical Background:
I take an eclectic* and relational approach to therapy, with experience working with loneliness, self esteem, social anxiety, depression, as well as individuals who have experienced domestic violence and and attachment trauma. I strive to be multiculturally responsive, strength-based, and client-centered.
I approach concerns such as depression, anxiety, and emotional distress with compassion and acceptance. With experience with a diversity of ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation, I recognize the complexities of how culture and systems impact personal relationships.
At its core, healing begins with kindness and understanding. It is possible to find the wellness we are seeking. I welcome anyone who wants to deepen relationships with self and others.
